Bumblebee becomes a 1967 yellow Volkswagen Beetle and is discovered by Charlene "Charlie" Watson, a depressed 18-year-old girl. The film takes place in the 1980s where the titular Bumblebee Autobot who crash-lands on Earth during the war between Autobots and Decepticons.
The sixth installment in the franchise, Bumblebee, is a spin-off and prequel to the film series. Whalberg reprises his role in The Last Knight. Cade accidentally discovers Optimus Prime and, instead of turning him in to the authorities, fixes him up and the two work together against Transformer drones. The public believes that Autobots have been given sanctuary, but they are being hunted down by a rogue CIA black ops division. In Age of Extinction, humans view Transformers as hostile and no longer work with them. Source types are currently git and hg, though this is easily extensible.
